Started a new brief on Monday...

Its a project on the value of Public Space.  I am to come up with a campaign bringing to light public spaces in Limerick City.

So far I've started off with my research and thought I'd share some of what I came across.

These not only catch the eye, 

they also serve a physical purpose 

and serve the purpose of advertising

These guys i believe are in Toronto and they are Genius!

This last one is very very disturbing 

but I really do think this is a very clever public awareness campaign 

for childrens' water safety

State of the Nation Alphabet

Planning to upload some pics of the most recent work and then updating this blog :) but for now since I'm on the oul phone poca il put up a few pic's now of some of my 'n's

I got into Vis-com!!!

So im focused and driven and have 2 new brief's to work on.

1.
Keeping a sketchbook and fill it in 7 weeks - for this im thinking of quickly sketching different environments i find myself in. I constantly have to go or be somewhere so it could be quite interesting and will also put a record of my life during these 7 weeks.

2.
Typography Project based on the title "State of the Nation"
We all got a letter and my understanding is we have to describe the state of the nation using that one letter.  The object is to create alot of 2D research and own 2D designs with an end design resulting into a really cool 3D letter.

My letter is "N n".  Quite happy with my letter and i'll be posting some of my images shortly!

But for now here's some contextual research of some interesting Typography of the letter in question.
