Need to try a little Art therapy!

Ok so, got a great tutorial today and it helped me to think....

....I need to stop thinking about a finished project and just have fun with it!

Really looking forward to doing more patterns and mark making and maybe something nice and messy to clear my head of work, which as always is stressing me out.

So... i think at this stage i am going to try my best to work up to something instead of working on final idea straight away. I have never tried to slow things down before and i am a bit clueless as to how to do it. Everything i do, i have to do in the quickest time possible and i'm soooo friggin' happy that i don't have to rush this and i can have fun with it and learn from it and above all ENJOY IT!!!

That was most defiantly me rambling on, so im gonna go now.

Just a little more Pardee...

Where i go for inspiration

Had an idea and a major mind block lately and could not get over it.  Partly just a mind block and partly because work work will not leave me alone with emails, but i decided to look at some things i love to look at. I found that it really helped with another way to experiment with the idea i had for my college project.  I wanted something beautifully grotesque and the first thing i think of when i when i thought that was of works from my favorite artist Alex Pardee, whom i think is amazing! I want to now do something with a Pardee twist. 

Going to be working on something in this sort of style tonight.  Looking forward to it!

Had to snap this when i saw it on the way back from Donegal... Unfortunately i dont know who the artist is where it came from mainly because i have no idea what county i was in when i took it but i feel the need to find out... so watch this space...

Most definately a very clever piece of advertising for Nova Scotia. I really couldnt believe my eye's but then i eventually realised it wasnt real...

I really think it is something worth a look anyway, it may take a minute to load but not long really!
